The police from Zone 2 Command has arrested a 48-year-old herbalist, Ibukun Moses, while attempting to sell human parts.The body parts allegedly belong to a lady identified as Toyin who was brought to the herbalist for treatment but died of an undisclosed illness. Immediately after her death, investigation revealed that the herbalist contacted her family to come and take her for burial. The family then agreed to bury her in a cemetery which the herbalist took them to. However, after the burial was concluded, the herbalist returned to the cemetery to exhume her corpse, cut off her head, the two hands and some other vital organs. Upon his arrest the suspect confessed to have done the act because he needed to sell the body parts to make money he needed.The AIG in charge of Zone 2, AIG LAWAL SHEHU has directed the detectives to ensure proper prosecution.

An Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has revoked the bail earlier granted to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu. The court presided over by a judge, Binta Nyako, gave the order on Thursday and directed that a bench warrant should be issued for Mr Kanu’s arrest. The court said it has given the order because Mr Kanu had failed to appear in court after his bail was granted in April 2017. The court ruled that the trial must continue and directed that a fresh date for the continuation should be given by parties so that the matter will continue in Mr Kanu’s absence. The case was adjourned till June 18. Mr Kanu, a separatist leader calling for an independent Biafran country, jumped bail when he escaped out of the country. He has since appeared in several videos online criticising Nigerian leaders and government. Lesson teacher defiles 13-year-old pupil, says victim seduced him The police in Lagos have arrested a 30-year-old teacher, Charles Munroe, for allegedly defiling a Senior Secondary School one pupil he was giving extramural education. Although Munroe admitted to having sex with the 13-year-old girl, he claimed it was consensual and that the victim seduced him. City Round learnt that the girl’s mother had employed Munroe sometime in August 2018 to be teaching her daughter in their residence at Ajangbadi area of the state. Munroe was said to have gone to the girl’s school on January 16, 2019 and asked her to follow him to his house on the pretence that he wanted to show her something. On getting to the house, the teacher reportedly had sex with her forcefully and threatened to kill her if she disclosed what happened to her parents. A woman has passed away in a tragic circumstance which has left her family and friends in lament. The deceased identified as Janefrancis Madumere from Mbano in Imo state, died after falling into soakaway pit. It was gathered that she fell inside the pit and was there for some moments before her mom noticed what happened. She had already died by the time she was removed from the pit.
