A mild drama ensued between a man and a young lady recently in Awka, Anambra state capital, over money. According to the lady, the man and her agreed on a fee of N5000 for services rendered - only for him to back down when he was supposed to pay. The lady held his cloth in public while asking him to pay her. Despite threats from the man to beat her, she insisted on collecting her payment from him. Buhari Dispatches Onyeama As Special Envoy To Benin Republic

President Muhammadu Buhari, has again in his capacity as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government, dispatched the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, as special envoy to the Republic of Benin. The development, according to Sarah Sanda, media aide to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, was in a bid to resolve the political disagreement in Benin Republic which is prompting the opposition to threaten a boycott of the parliamentary elections scheduled for April 28. Wiked Wike again..... A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt Thursday declared the Accord Party governorship candidate in Rivers State, Dumo Lulu Briggs, unfit to contest in the March 9 governorship election. According to the presiding judge, Justice Emmanuel Obile, Lulu Briggs did not participate in the primaries conducted on October 4, 2018. The judge said Briggs was a governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the time of conducting the primary. Obile, therefore, declared Briggs’ candidacy as null, void and unconstitutional. The court, thereafter, ordered INEC to replace his name with the plantiff, Precious Baridoo as the candidate of the party.
